Break-Fix is fairly simple…a PC or printer stops working, you call someone, and it gets fixed. This is the approach taken by small and medium businesses for a long time.
Another model is managed IT services. This is different from break-fix in that computers are managed proactively, monitored for potential issues and fixed before they can cause problems.
The primary difference between the two is down-time. How can IT downtime hurt you? It can cause lost revenue, damage to your reputation, and lost productivity.
